The Near Galaxies

The Galaxy Alliance is made up of planets from the four nearest Galaxies: Denube, Andromeda, M33, and the Milky Way. This section is devoted to cataloguing the habital that make up these galaxies. This page is still in it's infancy, but I hope it to grow in the near future as informatin becomes available.

Special thanks to Chios and Dazyk for their informaiton to help begin this page.

Denube:

Please see Shannon Muir's Denubina Star Map for complete details (as much has been written already about this region)

Andromeda:

This is probably the least explored of the four galaxies, due to it's vast size. Both the Druul and the Galaxy Alliance have sent exploratory missions (the latter sending the Space Ship Explorer) to chart the planets of this galaxy. Despite this, colonies exist along the fringes of this galaxy.

• Oros
Once a planet, now little more than an asteroid field. It was destryed in a battle between the Druuls and the Galaxy Alliance during the Explorer's mission.

M33:

The smallest of the four galaxies and home to a number of colonies and homeworlds. One arm of this galaxy extends relatively close to the Denubian Crimson Quadrant and contains the Druul homeworld.

Planets of note:

• Argus
The planet of origin for both Krik and Cinda. Most of the planet is water.
• Terra
Wolo's homeworld. "Terra", in Wolo's people's language, means "Sanctuary".

Milky Way

Considered the Cradle of Humanity. This is the home of the Sol Solar system and its nine planets, many of which were colonized as a stepping stone for furthur space explroation.

Planets of note:

• Earth
The original homeworld of Humanity. It is still a thriving planet and home of Galaxy Garrison
• Mars
The first planet to be colonized by humans. After 3000 years, many consider it Humanity's second homeworld.
• Balto
Pidge's planet of origin, and later destryed by Zarkon. It used to exist on one of the arms of the galaxy.

Not placed yet:

Acura (from FLEET OF DOOM)
Described as being right on the border of the Near and Far Universe Due to the great distance emphasized for the Voltron Force to travel -- and the fact they have to use the Flying Fortress to get to there instead of flying there themselves.
