Remember how I said, "Who needs sleep"? Well, apparently I did, since I managed to get myself royally sick thanks to one too many sleepless nights. Okay, I exaggerate a bit. I am sick, but not royally so. The most noticeable bit is the fact that my throats screwed up and I sound like a boy when his voice changes. Ugh.
On the plus side, however, I did finally managed to DO SOMETHING on this page. And if my luck holds, there will be more soon! Tonight I have added for your viewing pleasure the latest chapter in Christine's awesome Voltron-X saga. Check out Chapter 16: Homecoming which, by the way, is a direct continuation of the previous chapter, so if you haven't started reading Voltron-X yet... well, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???
Another bit'o news... during that time I was supposed to be updating, I entered a contest at WEP. Well... guess who one of the winners was? Gads! I had no earthly idea it'd be this long before I did anything!
Okay, here's the situation: first of all, I'm not dead, and neither is this site. It was just comatose for a while. Yours truly managed to get herself swamped in outside projects again (this is a bad habit, I know. I'm trying to get better, honest!) and have been very VERY lax about keeping things updated. On the minus side, I now have four websites to keep track of now, not counting the stuff at work. (BTW: to see my latest professional job, go to Birmingham Jobline for which I did the layout, graphics, and design of the site. There are two more in the works at work, so it looks like I've turned into some kind of coding fiend lately.
All that aside, let's face it, I've been absolutely awful about this. I have four chapters of Voltron X waiting to be uploaded and archived, plus heaven knows what else, PLUS the fact that my alternate archiving site in Geocities has decided to institute image blocking. I should have been paying more attention, and I didn't and that's bad and I am so deeply sorry.
What does that mean? Well, first of all, it means that I'm going to be re-archiving several meg of the stuff from Geocities to a local server that doesn't block things. I hope to get that done as soon as possible. Once I have this problem taken care of, then I'll hopefully have some updates for you to see.
Heck, who needs sleep.
