The following is a listing of important events as related to the Voltron:V4 universe. Please note all dates are given as approximate offsets from the present setting (the "present" being both the original animated Voltron TV series).

The term NGE refers to "New Galactic Era", a new calendar to reflect the start of a new era of development in the galaxy. This was also included to hopefully make any dating in stories easier.

- @10 million yrs The Geblar, a sentient species that inhabits a galaxy on the far side of the Virgo Cluster, begins the creation of hundreds of sentient species in their galaxy. One of these species is the Zylon.
- @7 million yrs Several of the more advanced Geblar species rebel against the Geblar.
- @6.8 million yrs The war against the Geblar ends with the extinction of the Geblar and all but twenty of their species. None of the species that rebelled survived. The twenty that remained, are left in terrible shape and despair at the loss of their patrons.
- @4 million yrs The Zylons reach the equivalent of the Terran Industrial Age and begin early space flight. Much about the Geblar has turned into myth. At this time, the first Zylon Prophet, May’nar, comes and teaches that Geblar was one individual that created the Zylon and the Universe. The Universe was made especially for the Zylon. This belief catches quickly and all who do not believe it were killed.
- @3.8 million yrs The Zylon have built a small stellar empire across thirty star systems. They run into one of the remaining Geblar Species. This contradicts their view as being the only sentient species in the universe. The Second Zylon Profit, Pl’neer, come and teaches that these are failed attempts by Geblar to create the Zylon. They must be eradicated! He also says that in the future, the Zylon will come across a sentient species of pure evil that will be the Zylon’s end.
- @3 million yrs The Zylon have purged their galaxy of all other sentient species and begin to spread out across neighbor galaxies. No other sentient life is found.
- @2.9 million yrs The Zylon launch thousands of giant colony ships to spread throughout the Virgo Cluster.
- @4000 yrs A Zylon Colony Ship enters the local cluster containing the Milky Way and Denubian Galaxies.
- @3600 yrs In the Milky Way Galaxy, Earthlings begin their first ventures into the solar system with the creation of various space programs.
- @3000 yrs Due to the development of spatial warping technology on Earth, the First Galactic Expansion begins. By using wormholes, it becomes economical to spread out into other galaxies. Construction begins on a gateway that will produce a single wormhole between the two. Colonization outside the immediate galaxy becomes a reality. Humanity begins to settle nearby galaxies.
- @2900 yrs A Terran colony develops a new faster then light propulsion system that adjusts Quantum Probability to allow the ship to make jumps of billions of light years. The colony encounters a Zylon Colony ship and is captured. The Zylon believes that Humans are the evil race that will bring about the end of the Zylon due to Terran use of technology and extreme differences of genetic structure.
Construction concludes on the Gateway, but it is soon abandoned due to the perfection of the use of exotic matter to build stable wormholes without support equipment.
- @2850 yrs The Zylon begin their attack on Humans using nanobots. This leads to the end of the First Galactic Expansion as sixty percent of all Humans are killed and the survivors head for the major planets to received treatment. Communications with the other planets and space travel is ceased due to fear that the Zylon will discover the survivors and do another attack. The fringe colonies lose contact with earth. Begins First Arusian Dark Age. The Zylon Colony ship leaves in fear that if their attack doesn't’t succeed that the Humans will strike back.
- @2790 yrs Queen Ariella becomes the first Queen of Arus. She in turn, builds the Castle of Lions. Considered the end of First Arusian Dark Age
- @2760 yrs Some of the outlying colonies began to band together. One such group is in the Azure Quadrant. Arus leads
- 2415 yrs
(NGE 1) 		The major planets of the Milky Way begin to spread out into the galaxy once more, as fear of the Zylons has subsided. To reflect this, a new calendar is implemented with this being year 1 NGE (New Galactic Era)
- 2100 yrs
(NGE 315) 		What will become the Druul Empire begins Space Exploration.
Common Wealth of Terran Worlds founded. This is the first of the ten governments that will be formed in the Milky Way. Over the next two thousand years, these nations will go in and out of war.
- 1100 yrs
(NGE 1315) 		Arus enters its First Golden Age. In the Milky Way, cases of psionic abilities begins to surface. Those who display such traits are persecuted.
- 1000 yrs
(NGE 1415) 		King Solon of Arus creates the first full working Voltron and the Fortress Ship with the new science and magic developed over time on Arus. Uses both primarily for defense
- 950 yrs
(NGE 1465) 		A group of sorcerers and sorceresses, in a plan to gain more power, try to harness the power from a massive amount of Dark Matter. Instead of drawing power from it, the spell goes wrong and it draws the souls from them, which imbues it with a rudimentary consciousness. The now-intelligent Dark Matter stars to move through the Galaxy, absorbing everything in it's path, even entire suns, and is dubbed the "Solar Void". King Solon's grandson, Solon II, takes the Fortress Ship and Voltron to try and stop its advance at the edge of the galaxy. He is successful, but is mortally wounded and the ship and Voltron badly damaged. All are presumed lost in space. He has no heir, and his choice for successor does not reach Arus. The remains of the Solar Void continue to orbit the Galaxy as the Omega Comet. One of his cabinet, Lord Haden, tries to put himself on the throne. The War of Succession begins.
- 947 yrs
(NGE 1468) 		The war of succession ends when Lord Haden secures the throne through a series of assassinations and political maneuvering. This is considered the start of the Arusian Second Dark Age
- 945 yrs
(NGE 1470) 		King Haden I institutes the Purges to further solidify his hold. Most records are lost. Builds a new castle over the Castle of Lions more suited to his rule. Over time, the original castle is forgotten. Arusian Second Dark Age.

(NGE 1648) 		Noted space pilot M'ken Dori vanishes, only to resurface several hundred years later.
- 820 yrs
(NGE 1595) 		King Lysos IV is overthrown in revolution. King Marcus, a former scholar in hiding and one of the leaders of the revolution, is chosen for the throne. Considered the beginning of the end of the Arusian Second Dark Age.
- 700 yrs
(NGE 1715) 		Arus reforms an Alliance with many of the planets of the Denubian Galaxy, called the Arusian Stellar Alliance.
- 630 yrs
(NGE 1785) 		The Druul's and Humans make first contact. Things do not go smoothly, but for a time there is a precarious peace between the two races.
- 500 yrs
(NGE 1915) 		Arus builds a long-range hyperspace receiver and intercepts messages from the Milky Way.
- 410 yrs
(NGE 2005) 		Technology from the First Galactic Expansion is unearthed on Terra. This technology is referred to as technology of the Ancients. Harry Seldon joins the telepathic underground.
- 400 yrs
(NGE 2015) 		King Arnos ascends the throne. Arus enters its Second Golden Age.
Zylons return to Denube to find Humans thriving again. The Zylons try to keep low while they find a way to take out the Humans.
A Zylon begins secret contact with Arus to warn them about Zylon activities. This contact proves over the years to be highly reliable.
- 355 yrs
(NGE 2060) 		Newly built long-range sensors of the CTW detect what is believed to be Zylon ships on the far side of the Denubian Galaxy. President Romera presses for the development of a fleet of ships to return to the Denubian Galaxy to contact the remaining colonies and investigate the ships.
- 350 yrs
(NGE 2065) 		Second Galactic Expansion begins with the departure of the CTW Spacefleet.
- 348 yrs
(NGE 2067) 		The First Intergalactic Congress is held on neutral planet in the Denubian Galaxy to draft a charter for an organization similar to the League of Nations or UN. The ten Milky Way Governments, the Arusian Stellar Alliance, and many independent Worlds are represented.
- 300 yrs
(NGE 2115) 		Planet Telos is colonized.
- 225 yrs
(NGE 2190) 		The Third Intergalactic Congress is held. The governments agree to form the Galaxy Alliance. They give a twenty-five year plan to form it.
- 200 yrs
(NGE 2215) 		Galaxy Alliance is Formed.
- 42 yrs
(NGE 2373) 		King Alfor discovers the existence of the original Castle of Lions under the current castle. Begins an extensive study and restoration of the technology, sharing his findings with his young prime minister, Coran
- 40 yrs
(NGE 2375) 		King Alfor begins to build the Lion Voltron, inspired by fragmented records he discovered. He believes the record to be part of a legend.
- 36 yrs
(NGE 2379) 		King Alfor finishes Voltron.
- 25 yrs
(NGE 2390) 		King Alfor agrees to help the Galaxy Alliance build a second Voltron (Vehicle Voltron), though this one will lack the magic imbued in his previous creation.
- 20 yrs
(NGE 2395) 		The Druul Empire discovers references to the Fortress Ship in a collection of ancient writings. Work begins on deciphering the last location of the ship.
- 2 yrs
(NGE 2413) 		Zarkon invades Arus. Voltron is broken apart. King Alfor dies defending Arus from Zarkon.

(NGE 2415) 		Lion Voltron is reactivated. Vehicle Voltron begins mission. [Begin TV Series]

(NGE 2417) 		Voltron "Prime" is unearthed and activated.

(NGE 2420) 		The Voltron Force is called back into action. Corruption at Galaxy Garrison discredits the VF. Galaxy Garrison is nearly destroyed and Zarkon becomes the de facto leader of Galaxy Garrison for a short time until his machinations are found out. [Begin V3D series]
