Yahoo Fighter - Quatrix Edition
BAD NEWS:
Yahoo has seen fit to discontinue supporting Yahoo Fighter IMV. And without their support, you can't run it. If Yahoo doesn't want you to use an IMV anymore, that's it, as they're designed so they have to draw infor from their server when run. No info, no IMV. I am deeply sorry about this. I will be leaving the graphics up for those who want a few animated GIFs that use the Sluggy Freelance Quatrix characters, but unfortunately, you won't be able to play the game. If you want it back, pester Yahoo about making IMVs more accessible and less "lazy slapped together marketing du jour".

It all started when Yahoo came up with something new for their messenger program, little interactive chat areas called "IMVironments". One of the first was called "Yahoo Fighter", a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors made to look like a fighting game.
There have been changes.
Thanks to a wasted few days of vacation, you can now download the Sluggy Freelance version of Yahoo Fighter. Battle Riff and his plazma bolts against Zoe and her machine gun Torg and his energy blaster . Protect yourself with your portable energy shield or splatter your enemy into a bloody pulp!

INSTRUCTIONS AND ADDITONAL INFO: Unzip the contents of this ZIP file into the Yahoo Fighter Directory in your
IMVCache folder. these new graphics will need to overwrite the existing ones.
When you are done, run Yahoo Messenger and select the Yahoo Fighter IMVironment
as normal.
All artwork is based on the Quatrix storyline from Sluggy Freelance. Some artwork by
Pete Abrams, the rest by Mea attempting to emulate Pete's style. Sluggy Freelance and
the Quatrix is the property of Pete Abrams, and while it's not used with permission,
I think he'll approve.
Yahoo Messenger and Yahoo Fighter are property of Yahoo, and I have no idea what they'd think of this.

Since these graphics are direct replacements for those in the Yahoo
IMViornment "Yahoo Fighter", you may want to make back up copies of the
original files first. To do so, locate the YFighter directory your IMViroment
Cache folder
(for example, in Windows, the path would be "Program Files/Yahoo!/Messenger/IMVCache/yfighter")
This is only a set of replacement graphics for Yahoo Fighter. At this time,
I have no way of editing the actual mechanics of the IMVironment files, but hopefully,
that will change someday. I also did not include sound effects, as I really didn't
have any I liked. To replace the attack sound effect, copy the .WAV file of your
choice into the Yahoo Fighter directory, and rename it "punch.wav".
